There are three Police Beats in Bucktown: 1432, 1433, & 1434. Regular community Chicago Alternative Policing Strategy (CAPS) Beat meetings are held throughout the year. Meetings provide an opportunity for police and community residents to exchange information about conditions in the neighborhood, to identify crime and disorder problems, and to develop strategies to combat those problems. The meeting also provides an opportunity for police and community to get to know one another. For more information click here. The Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce (WPB Chamber) manages the WPB Special Service Area. SSAs, often known as Business Improvement Districts in other cities, provide a fair and transparent way to finance and manage programs to create, maintain and manage clean, attractive and competitive commercial districts.
