The 24th annual Bucktown Arts Fest will be bigger and better than ever this year. 180 artists have signed up. Bucktown's best bands are lined up for the main stage. The poets are limbering up their vocal chords for the ever popular poetry circle. Rock & Roll Dad will be in the kid's zone and performances by Trap Door Theater, Ameba Acrobatic Dance Company, Dansz Loop, and the Chicago Festival Ballet round out the entertainment. There will also be a film Saturday after the fest closes at 7 PM.
Want a sneak peak? Attend the Arts Fest Patron's Party 6 to 9 PM Thursday, Aug. 27, at Bristol, 2152 N. Damen. Tickets are $30 in advance, $40 at the door. Besides drinks and appetizers, there will be a silent auction of pieces contributed by arts fest artists and crafts people.
